To the north of Fabro there is Carnaiola , a medieval village with a castle (XIIth cent.) and walls built in the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. The castle of Parrano was built in the year 1000 over the ruins of a Roman village. In this area can be visited a whole of natural caves called ‘Tane del diavolo’ with remains of the Superior Paleolithic and Bronze Age. In Monteleone di Orvieto it is worth visiting the Collegiata, the Church of SS Crucifix and the theatre ‘Dei Rustici’. Close to the village of Montegabbione is the Monastery of ‘Scarzuola’ (XIIth cent.) with the ‘ideal town’ designed by Arch. Tommaso Buzzi which represents an extraordinary architectural structure.
